HD Clean.
QuickTech
HD Clean is the ultimate Hard Drive data erase
tool. Typical formatting a Hard Disk drive DOES NOT
remove or erase your private data! When you format
a disk, partition a hard drive, or even delete a file,
your data still remains on the disk. There are many
hard drive recovery tools on the market that can recover
your data. QuickTech
HD Clean eliminates this opportunity to recover
data by securely erasing ALL of your data, giving
you assurance that your data is gone for good.

HD Clean is the perfect tool for those who refurbish
or recycle hard drives before selling or donating

a hard drive, ensure that your data is completely

One
of QuickTech
HD Clean's many advantages is that it is self-booting.
To run the software, simply insert the QT
HD Clean diskette and turn on the computer. The
program loads itself before any operating system (e.g.,
DOS, WIN 9x/ME/2000/XP etc.) is loaded. Thus, QT HD
Clean's can operate without the interference of an
operating system or any other programs (TSRs) that
may be loaded into memory during the boot sequence.
HDC
provides four levels of hard drive data erasing. The
four levels are; Quick, Medium, Random and Full.
Level
one is defined as Quick Clean. Quick Clean erases
the first few tracks that are required to boot the
drive. This is known as the boot sector. Without the
boot sector, the drive will not boot to an operating
system.
Level two, the Medium Level performs a single full
clean using a single pattern such as FF. The Medium
Level begins by first erasing the boot sector and
then continues to erase with other portions of data.
This process is a little more time consuming, but
ideal for drives that will be reloaded with an Operating
System and put back into use.
Level
three, is a Random erase function. As with the medium
function, it will begin by erasing the boot sector.
Once the boot sector is erased, it will perform a
single full erase but uses a random pattern.
The
final level, is a Full Erase. Full performs a military
approved clean which performs a full clean three time
using three different patterns. Once you have completed
a clean, you may use the view/verify function to display
the disks contents in HEX and ASCII format to verify
a clean disk drive.
