Ultra-X Test DVDs & CDs can be used to help diagnose, troubleshoot and load test your PC. When used with the PHD PCI, PC Inspector, QuickTech Professional, QuickTech Personal, or WinStress Test, you can:

Verify that your CD or DVD drive can read data and seek between files.

Verify that your CD and DVD drive can read data at both extremities of the disc (the outermost to innermost tracks).

Verify every bit of data read from the CD or DVD is 100% correct.

The DVD and CD ROMs contain a "full" disc so the testing can more precisely determine the transfer rate, seek times, and speed of the drive.

Ultra-X Test CDs are specially manufactured and offer a higher level of compatibility compared to burnt discs.

How do they work?
Simply insert the Ultra-X Test DVD or CD into the CD/DVD drive you wish to test. Allow the drive to spin-up to speed. Select "ATAPI Testing" from the Drives Menu of PHD PCI(Extended Mode), QuickTech Professional, QuickTech Personal, or WinStress Test. The CDROM/DVD test interrogates the drive, and after about 30 seconds begins displaying the results. The test checks the drive's data transfer rate for the inner and outer tracks, extreme seek time(seek time from the outermost to innermost tracks), average seek time, and the drive's speed. Check the results against the CD/DVD drive manufacturer's specifications if you suspect a problem.

Compatibility
The Ultra-X Test DVDs & CDs are compatible with all PC CD and DVD drives.
The Ultra-X Test DVDs & CDs require PHD PCI, PC Inspector, QuickTech Professional, QuickTech Personal, or WinStress Test(sold separately).
