The majority of 486 PC’s and below will revert back to the year 1900 because of the "Millennium Bug" inside their RTC (Real Time Clock) chip. The problem has been there since "BIG BLUE" (IBM) released their IBM PC/AT in 1981. It means that at the turn of the century, these PC’s will never go past the year 2000, and will revert back to the year 1900. Unfortunately, the year 2000 is a leap year, and the year 1900 is not!
